Radio

Awrite — I’m taking the plunge and starting my own net radio station. This will be going 24/7 or as long as I can keep it up.

Want to listen? Please be my guest. If you know my “taste” in music (and I do use the word “taste” advisedly) you’ll know what to expect. If not I guess you’ll just have to listen.

Let me know what you think and help me figure out a name for the station. To celebrate this inaugural broadcast day I’ll be taking requests but keep in mind my library is not infinite so general requests are more realistic than specific tracks.

    Hi Bart,

One super feature could be a periodic (daily? weekly?) “Name That Artist” song, similar to the CD quizzes you created for Susie and me (and your folks) about 3 years ago. Remember? We got 10 out of 15 correct. We knew it was tricky, but not THAT tricky. I figured we were correct in 14 of 15. For example, “Danke Schoen” sounded pretty much just like Wayne Newton, who did it originally, but it was performed by Martha and the Vandellas. The prize could be, simply, a shout-out or something equally inexpensive. I still have my CD, my correct and incorrect answers, and your letter explicating the 10 of 15.

Got the Maltin book and am loving it. Thanks a million.

    Love, Mike and Susie

  4. Just keep doing what you’re doing. I’m enjoying it!

  5. BTW – as for a name, I like the simple & succinct “B.Rox Radio”.

It think “roxio” has been done, no? Anyway, thanks, keep it coming.

    Everpax Radio!

Else, you could just extend the “Rox” brand and have it be “Rox Radio”.

  9. Betts and I had a huge radio station before the Flood. Good luck.
