X

Everybody knows that X is the coolest letter in the alphabet, yet there was only one X movie on my list: X: The Unheard Music (1985). It’s a documentary about the band, X. The band is great, but the movie is merely good with some great moments (and of course great music). I think the project suffers from trying for a punk film style, which didn’t serve the story well. But if I want mainstream music documentaries, I suppose I should watch VH1.

  1. Huh. The only “X” movie that occurs to me is “Xanadu”, which is thoroughly cheesy, yet fun if you are in the mood for it…

How about the classic shocker “X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes” w/Ray Miland, “The X-Files” (the Movie or any of the TV seasons) or “X: the Unknown” w/Dean Jagger. I also recommend “Xiu Xiu: The Sent-Down Girl”.

BTW, I like the “fromage” that is “Xanadu”… it is great for parties and rifting on with friends, but, YMMV for that kind of thing.

As it says in the opening titles, “turn this movie up loud”. Highly reccommended by me at least.
