  1. i love how the notifications say ‘you’re getting this because you signed up for it’–as if to say, ‘you have no one to blame but yourself’ [wink].

i ENJOY the notification feature, since the slowly-progressing-newbie that i am, has found other web-sites, and i tend to go to things that notify me 1st, rather than check my jumble of bookmarks!

i wish you’d join myspace–here’s some ‘good’ reasons why:

1). You can be as anonymous as you please—if you just want to read stuff on there–since you DO have to register in order to view anything.

2), many groups use it as free advertising; it’s very easy to reach 55 million people to promote rox.com, or anything else you’d like!

3). i find it easier than friendster–with less astrology–and most of my friendster-s are more active on myspace, anyway!

4.) on myspace, not only am i ‘friends’ with the LEGITIMATE Margaret Cho–she even shows up as a subscriber to MY blog!!

5.) you should find it fairly easy to see if your friends from ALL OVER are on it, plus there are groups to network with, etc.

6). yes, probably many of your students are on it, plus a lot of teens; but there are various blocks you can put in place.

sorry that this has NOTHING to do with the topic at hand……

  2. I’m not ashamed to admit it: I actually have a MySpace account. But I just hate the design of the site so much I never go there. It hurts my brain just to think about it.
