Persephone

Break out the cigars and pass em around — it’s a girl.

Persephone!

Born on the cusp:
February 21, 2008

6 lbs. (just barely)
17 3/4″ long

Mother and child are both healthy. Persephone was delivered via Caesarian section, so Xy is recovering slowly.

More to come.

In the meantime, you can find the earliest known photos of Persephone ex utero in my photostream.

congratulations! so glad that all are healthy- I am a two time caesarian “survivor” -slow and steady is the way to go.
    Peace!

  2. Congratulations! So cute and TINY. You are going to be great parents. Will she have to spend half the year in the underworld? I’m so glad to read that everyone is doing well.

  3. Let me guess. You are proud… and thrilled… and scared out of your wits. Congratulations.

Hey, are you gonna call her “P.J.”? Because she might not like that very much.

I was wondering if you guys were actually going to do the Everpax thing or not. Congrats! You thought the first 40 years were interesting, just watch the next 18 or so. 🙂

  5. Congrats young people!!
Welcome to being a father. Take care of your gals.
I’m sure the two of you will make fine, passionate parents.

    Bart and Xy!

Congratulations on giving birth to the reason for the seasons! I can’t wait to meet her.

  7. As comment #46 I cannot be original or unusual but I am truly SO HAPPY that all has gone well for the three of you. Congrats all around, please make sure Xy gets plenty of heavy duty painkiller, and wishing all of you the very best. I’ve read that having a baby is one of the most optimstic acts possible in this lfe and you and Xy certainly have proven that.

    All of my best, lem.
