I’m gearing up for another trip down to New Orleans, to take care of the stuff I didn’t finish last time. I’d hoped to drive down today, but I’ve got a sore throat. It’s pretty mild — just a scratchy, tickly feeling — but it won’t go away. It’s been about 48 hours now. I slept most of the day yesterday, and drank lots of fluids. I’ve been gargling with salt water every chance I get. It hasn’t gotten worse, but it hasn’t gotten better either.
Other than the scratchy throat, I don’t have any other symptoms, or so I thought until I tried to run some errands today. I felt very disoriented, almost dizzy, in the grocery store. Low blood sugar, or slightly feverish?
I hesitate to go down to the Big Sleazy if I’m not feeling 100%. From my last trip I know how quickly I became exhausted, working in the heat with no AC. I guess I’m going to continue to rest up and wait until I feel better.
I feel frustrated and helpless, but I’ve gotten used to feeling that way over the past month.

I have the same – there’s nothing you can do but rest and it lasts about two weeks.
The allergies here in southern IN are HORRENDOUS this fall. I’ve had similar symptons for about a month now. Keep up those fluids, and hang on. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m excited for a frost to make this crap get out of the air.
