I love Nathan’s pickled herring snacks. My favorite variety is the kind packed in white wine and onions. Straight from Canada, loaded with sodium and cholesterol. Mmmm. I eat ’em right from the jar.
They’re also said to be a good hangover cure.

I hate Nathan’s pickled herring snacks, especially the ones packed in white wine and onions. After waking up with a hangover this afternoon I finally decided it was time to do something with those sour, gagging snacks of herring. I started to make fish chowder with milk, onions, cellary, some campbells cream of mushroom soup, tuna, garlic, and corn. It tasted delicious before I put in Nathan’s Herring Snacks. Me and my friends found no way to get the bittersweet aftertaste out of the chowder. This chowder was going to feed my family for the next week but now we will have to starve since I am too poor to buy more groceries. I will never buy Nathan’s pickled herring snacks ever again.
I PURCHASED A 12oz JAR OF YOUR NATHAN’S HERRING SNACKS IN SOUR CREAM ON MARCH 8th FROM THE KROGER STORE IN GERMANTON,TN. UPON OPENING THIS PRODUCT I FOUND A PIECE OF CLOTH ABOUT ONE INCH SQUARE. I THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE INTRESTED IN THIS. I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT FOR A LONG TIME AND FOUND IT TO BE A TOP DRAWER PRODUCT. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE MARKINS ON THE JAR.

Kroger’s – Nathan’s Herring – refrigeration problem
Hi,
I have enjoyed Nathan’s Herring for years, but the last two times I bought it at my local Kroger’s (~ April and August) – it’s been clearly spoiled, probably exposed to excessive temperatures.
I’m not sure if the problem is at Nathan’s or Kroger’s, but it’s crazy!! The first time I thought maybe it’s a fluke – this time I’m taking the jar back.

this is the first time I tried you herring. I have been eating herring for the last 60 years. I think this is the best I ever had. I read some of the horrible coments about your herring. Is there a way I can get a catlog of your products or where I can order them through you. We really enjoy the Nathan’s hot dogs. In matter of fact we love your hot dogs.
