Why Bush Will Win

Some of my friends seem to be living in a dream world. They hate Bush and are banking on a Bush defeat in November. Some of them are positively convinced he will lose. They see the president’s flaws so clearly that they cannot envision any other outcome. I’m afraid these people are in for an unpleasant surprise.

Here’s why Bush will win:

• He’s the incumbent.
• The economy may be bad, but it is not bad enough.
• There’s a war on.
• Kerry is not inspiring.

I could be wrong. I hope I am. But I didn’t make up these facts, and I think my assessment is realistic. In any event, I prefer to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
