Last time the girl was feeling poorly and I stayed home with her, I said it was “even kind of fun.” Not this time. She’s got a nasty cough, and it’s no fun, not at all.
Actually she was doing so well over the weekend we fully anticipated we’d all be back in our routines today, but her fever and cough this morning changed that. Xy went off to work and left me here without even any coffee. Brutal. No car either.
So the highlight of our day was walking to the grocery to get coffee and a tin of smoked oysters.
