Some friends have suggested posting old ROX videos on YouTube.
I wonder if this is a good idea?

Well, this kinda explains your legendary drink mixing of ass-kicking potency…
I like amaretto sours, too.
“The third drink is always the best, unless you have a fourth drink.” That was pretty funny.
This is good. You have historical evidence for your daughter to show her when she is of a certain age. Then you all can laugh together as I am laughing now. She will say things like “Daddy, you look so young and so, uh, drunk.”
Well consider the terms and conditions… you are giving them rights to your content. You have such a large body of work to just hand over. It would make sense to consider what this will mean years from now.
“C. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions. However, by submitting User Submissions to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform…”
Just an additional thought, but maybe other video hosts (vimeo, google video, metacafe etc.) don’t have the same “prepare derivative works of…” type of terms, but youtube is definitely the most widely used service.
The Monroe County Public Library technically owns most of the series, right b?
Sorry to leave this in your comments section, I failed to find an email address.
I’m going around to all the NOLA area bloggers/freelancers to let them know about our new book by a local author, the Historic Photos of New Orleans by Melissa Lee Smith. We’d love to send you a complimentary copy for possible review consideration on your blog of this book. This title is done in a large 10×10 format and all images used are culled from several archives that represent rare or never before seen photos of the Crescent City. We’re trying to get the word out to local folks, so I hope you don’t mind me dropping you a line to let you know about our books!
You can find the author locally on a panel at the French Quarter Fest on April 12th and at Jazz Fest on May 2nd from 2-3pm in the Jazz Fest Book Tent.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best,
Rachel Joiner
