Today (Thursday) is Paul Gailiunas’s birthday. Even though he’s far from New Orleans he is not far from our thoughts. Some friends will be gathering at the Mother-in-Law Lounge tonight to visit and put together a package to send to Paul. Come by at 7 p.m. if you’d like to join us.
PS: I was shocked to see Paul & Helen in a recent tabloid story about Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie.

We love you! I wrote a song for you and Francis called “Heaven’s Hill”.
It is the thought that counts, and the action. Sometimes words escape the moment.
That tabloid photo is really disturbing and upsetting me. That was a little postcard she made after Francis was born, and on the other side was an announcement of his arrival. It should not be there in that stupid magazine.
I was thinking about that postcard after she died and how I wish I still had it, and I felt so awful thinking about her sweet postcard all moldy and destroyed in my house, but this is so much worse.
I hope you have (or had) a “good” time…I’m hoping to go to the tea party at Zeitgeist this Sun.

When I was growing up, I never could figure out what my mother was talking about when she said, “That’s in bad taste.” Now I know.
