Poetry in Exile: My friend, neighbor and co-worker Biljana D. Obradovic has started a blog. She’s looking for people from the XU English Department, so if you’re reading this, please get in touch with her.
Get Your Act On: Andrea Garland is heading back in to New Orleans. Good luck, Andrea! I wish I could be with you now.
A Frolic of My Own: I had lunch with Todd Price once upon a time. He was out of the country when Katrina hit. Todd, I hope we have lunch again at some funky New Orleans joint sometime in the near future.
Howie Luvzus: Howie’s blogging passionately about personal and political issues surrounding the disaster.
Michael Homan: Hopefully Michael will be posting again soon. (I think by now everyone who reads my posts will have read his account of riding out the storm.)
In Exile: I’ve never met Abram Himelstein but his legend precedes him.
Dispatches from Tanganyika: Ditto Poppy Z. Brite.
And of course, Metroblogging New Orleans. They’ve been an excellent source of information since day zero. Thanks.

Oh yeah. The Interdictor never stopped. They kept the DirectNIC data center running throughout the hurricane and its aftermath. So they aren’t in exile at all.
I’m hoping that we have lunch again soon. I’m also hoping that Sammy’s in Bucktown, where we ate, survived the flood.
