Speeding

Xy’s string of bad luck continues…

1. On Monday she got a parking ticket while at the library, getting books for her students.
2. On Tuesday she got a black eye during Phys. Ed.
3. This morning she called me on her cellphone to say she’d gotten a speeding ticket just blocks from our house, on her way to work. Since it was in a school zone, they took her license away. Again. She’s been through this before a couple years ago. Though it sucks to be without one’s license, my understanding is that her license is not suspended. It’s just confiscated, and she’ll get it back when she pays the fine. Xy rails against the state of Lousiana. I wonder why she can’t just learn to watch her speed.
