Under the Weather

Our little girl is not feeling well. Runny nose, a touch of fever, general fussiness. Is it a cold? Allergies? Or just more teething? We’re not sure. She’s not off her feed, she still smiles and laughs in between crying jags, and still plays like her usual self. So we’re not too terribly worried except this is our first time dealing with a sick child. I guess she’s due for a little bit of illin’ since she’s never been sick a day in her life, and she has been going to daycare for over a month now. I hope she’s better soon.

Speaking of weather, what’s up with Ike? We had plenty of rain here yesterday and gusts continue today. I gather from the paper that there was extensive flooding in some of our coastal parishes, but I wonder what’s going on in Texas.

If she has a fever, definitely take her to M.D. Marlon’s fever ended up being micro-plasmic pneumonia!! She was in the hospital Thursday p.m. until Saturday p.m. so she could have IV & antibiotics.
Ooh please don’t let Seph have the same deal!

Our daughter had her first illness around 8 mos. I cried, b/c I felt so helpless. My wife, OTOH, took it fine. Not ashamed to admit any of that.

  3. Have you ruled out ear infection (by having a Dr. peek in there)?

We just had our first ear infection diagnosis for our four month old (see my ‘Applesauce’ post from today), and the symptoms you describe could fit that…. or teething. One never knows until the Dr. pronounces.

Anyway, hope she feels better soon!
